 I called eMusicGear a few months ago with several questions about the keyboard I was considering to buy. Dave was extremely helpful and the information from him and about their business that I read on their web site made me feel more at ease in purchasing something of this magnitude over the internet. Because of the information he gave me, I ended up bumping up my purchase of a Yamaha keyboard from a PSR 203 to a PSR 293, a $100 increase over the cost, which for me is a lot of money and a major consideration. The ordering process today was very smooth and problem-free. A lot of work has been put into their web site.

 I LOVE LOVE LOVE our new Yamaha P60 keyboard!!! It has been so much fun. It arrived quickly, was easy to assemble, looks and sounds AWESOME! It has been wonderful experience. I felt I got a great deal regarding price and sound quality and while I was wishing to stretch my budget($1000) to afford a more "piano look"- or lots of "fun" features -I am glad that I chose not to. The keyboard was less than $800), the sound and piano feel is top quality and there are enough fun features for me and my kids. It sits in our living room and looks great and we are playing every day! Also, I was able to order fun extras (a great storage duet bench, lots of sheet music, earphones etc). I can read music and play one handed piano- but bought this with the hopes of relearning and teaching my kids- I believe all kids should have a piano- and at this price- that is doable!

 The reason I bought from this site was that they included the stand with the keyboard. No other site was offering that, and they were trying to sell the stand for between 90 and 130 dollars. It was competetively priced and eMusicGear included a lot of free stuff that the online music shops just couldn't provide and to kick it off they also provided free shipping through FedEx. Saved me and my Mom a ton of cash and a lot of backache as the DGX505 itself is huge and then you have the stand, bench, survival kit. All items were received in good condition Friday afternoon, and unpacked, assembled and working within an hour. It looks fine (and I am glad that we "mixed" the black stand with the "titanium" keyboard . . . the keyboard looks stunning, but a silver stand would have been "too much", at least in our living room) . . . more important, it sounds great and "feels" like a piano. Of course it's not *really* a Grand (well, it was, but . . .), but it both sounds and feels better than any upright I've seen. Most important . . . my wife loves it . . . You already know all the arguments for an electric piano (keyboard) . . . you can move it, you don't have to tune it, it doesn't "ring" when you play the hi-fi loud, you can practice (with headphones, if need be) without an accompanyment of howling dogs. I've been waiting for years for someone to "get it right" at a reasonable price . . . Yamaha did it. On my recent purchase, that meant a significant savings over my local music shop - approximately $130. Still, the issue of ordering from far away (gasp - all the way to Vermont) - as opposed to "down the street" where there are people you can "look in the eye" and talk to made me hesitate as I was planning this purchase. However, the final decision to buy from eMusicGear.com was made based on the phone contacts I had. From the first call - when I needed help to understand an accessory kit - the lady that answered (Judy?) put me through to Dave - there was no "press this button if you want to talk to ............." and , thank God, no recorded music to listen to while you are being told that "you are the third caller in line with an approximate wait of ................" Subsequent conversations with Dave to better understand the equipment, and later to successfully install the key board amp were cordial, articulate and conveyed a thorough understanding of the product. (he was cordial and articulate - I was out of breath and certain that I would never be able to get the amp to work - just kidding) Guys, I don't want to sound naive - I worked in the corporate world for a long time, and I know that stuff happens - equipment doesn't work, suppliers are difficult, people get up on the wrong side of the bed etc. - Never the less, you seem to have an excellent understanding of what's needed to do business today. I will certainly share my experience with any other potential buyers I come across.

Portable keyboard was my first major purchase over the internet. I compared prices and models and Contois had best price for the overall package (adapter/accessories, free shipping). I'm a bit nervous about ordering anything on-line, especially a first-time purchase of an electronic keyboard. However, I did research the product and did extensive comparison searches on-line. Contois clearly had the best prices in terms of the "package" deal of accessories, warranty, and free shipping. This was a huge plus. Even though some big-box stores had lower initial prices, added shipping and accessories led to higher end prices. The Contois on-line shopping experience was easy and reassuring. I knew what I wanted, but couldn't seem to find it anywhere. Ran a search on Infoseek and came up with Contois Music as a possible source. They had exactly what I was looking for, with enough background info and a good enough price on the product to justify the purchase. Wish I hadn't wasted 2 hours digging through Best Buy and Comp USA first.

I live about 10 minutes from their store, which has a good selection of products. I was very excited to see that they also sell online, which was nice for me considering that I'm attending school several hours away from the store; yet I'm still able to shop there.

Mr. Contois, My items arrived intact and on time. Thanks for your assistance in getting them to me before Christmas. I’ve been shopping the Internet since 1995 and have had very good luck until about two months ago. In three different cases: One vendor couldn’t supply the item I ordered so they substituted with an item I couldn’t use. Another vendor said the item was on its way but didn’t ship until after the proposed delivery date - causing my project to slip. As a final straw, yet another vendor delivered an item 10 days late and broken. I returned the item on an RMA for replacement. The vendor canceled the order, without my knowledge or permission, and didn’t contact me. After almost another 6 weeks I finally got the item and will never deal with that vendor again. Please accept my apologies for any offense I may have made. Vendors like you help restore my faith.

Contois has been absolutely fabulous regarding my order. They didn't have the initial product I ordered, but they offered me a deal on the next model up. I paid a little more, but the product is much better. The hardest part was the anxiety of waiting for UPS to deliver my new toy.
